Videos that you own and are used by students outside of the classroom for instruction should be captioned, especially if they are used in online courses. If you have a student in your course that needs accommodation, Student Disability Services can work with you to caption your material (as well as other content) at no charge. Otherwise there is a charge of about $2/minute to transcribe and caption videos in English. If you already have a transcript, this cost is lower–possibly free.
